The resplendent 5-star haven serenely overlooks the mountainous valley and is ensconced within verdant natural landscapes, this luxurious retreat graces the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayan ranges.
What’s it like?
Set amidst the shimmering valleys, majestic oak forests, and enchanting footpaths of Mussoorie, this exquisite resort draws its inspiration from the unspoiled beauty of nature. The luxury hotel exudes a profound sense of peace, where one effortlessly harmonises with the serene embrace of nature. Strolling through the meticulously landscaped grounds offered me delightful respite and my stay there felt like a meditative experience. Despite having stayed at many luxury properties, the staff at the property made sure to go out of their way to be as hospitable as possible and took special care and consideration to craft a unique experience for me during my stay there.
Where is it?
Framed by the picturesque landscapes of Uttarakhand, the opulent hotel is a scenic two-hour drive from the Jolly Grant Airport. This charming hill station, often affectionately referred to as the ‘Queen of Hills,’ boasts not only natural beauty but also excellent road connectivity to the bustling metropolis of Delhi, making it a favoured destination for those seeking respite amidst the Himalayan splendour.
Rooms
My stay at the JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa was defined by luxury and convenience. The Guest room I occupied, featuring one King bed, a private balcony, and a captivating valley view, provided a spacious haven of comfort and sophistication. The marble bathroom boasted both a separate bathtub and shower, promising a rejuvenating bathing experience. A well-lit makeup mirror, a hairdryer, plush robes, and cozy slippers added to the indulgence. I was able to finish some work as the room was thoughtfully equipped with a writing desk, electrical outlets, and a safe. Connectivity and entertainment were at their finest with three phones, voicemail, and speakerphone capabilities. High-speed internet, both wired and wireless, was available for convenience. Entertainment was in abundance with a 55-inches LED TV, premium movie channels, cable/satellite options, with the option to cast content from phone/laptop. The room itself spanned an expansive 37 sqm, ensuring that I had ample space to unwind and relish the luxurious surroundings.
Food and Drink
My culinary journey at JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa was a delightful exploration of diverse flavours and settings. Most days commenced with a hearty breakfast at JW Café, a delightful experience where one is truly spoilt for choice in every essence of the phrase. However, a highly memorable experience was enjoying breakfast whilst being cocooned in the verdant comfort of their greenhouse, this experience is available to guests upon request. The pinnacle of my gastronomic adventure was the Pahadi Thali experience at the JW Farm, a culinary immersion into the local cuisine which left a lingering imprint on my tastebuds for a long time after. For Pan-Asian delights, Teppan was a standout choice, while lunch at Wisteria Deck, specialising in Continental cuisine, was a true pleasure, with the Spaghetti Carbonara standing out as a heavenly indulgence.

Five flexible meeting venues, encompassing an impressive total of 389 sqm, are at one’s disposal, accommodating gatherings of up to 275 attendees. For expansive business events, the Grand Orchard Ballroom stands as a spacious option. Equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual technology and high-speed Wi-Fi, Mussoorie becomes a dynamic setting for impactful presentations. Additionally, the hill station venue amidst the Himalayas offers an idyllic backdrop for open-air weddings. The total event space spans 81 square meters, providing versatile options to cater to diverse occasions and gatherings.

The JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa offers an array of leisure offerings that cater to every guest’s desires. Nature enthusiasts can embark on invigorating treks and nature walks through the lush surroundings, while those seeking relaxation can indulge in rejuvenating spa treatments at the on-site spa. The hotel’s heated indoor pool provides a refreshing escape, and fitness enthusiasts can stay active at the well-equipped gym. I thoroughly enjoyed a swim and steam at the end of all my days during my stay as the pool is controlled to an optimal temperature.
