Alaska Airlines offers double miles for flights on JAL

4 Jul 2016 by Clement Huang
As part of its new partnership with Japan Airlines, Alaska Airlines is offering Mileage Plan members double points when they fly with the Japanese carrier on select flights. The promotion is available to travellers flying between Japan and Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco or Vancouver. There is no limit to the number of flights a traveller can credit as part of the deal. Registration is required, and the promotion period is between July 7 and September 30. It is open to passengers travelling in first, business, premium economy and select economy class fares (B, H, K, M, Y). This means that those who purchase discounted economy fare classes (Q, N, L, V, S, O, G, R) are ineligible for the offer. The double mileage will be credited within four to six weeks of a valid flight. However, do note that the bonus miles do not count towards Mileage Plan elite status.
