Etihad to open new first class lounge at Abu Dhabi

1 Feb 2016 by BusinessTraveller

Etihad Airways will open a new first class lounge at Abu Dhabi airport's Terminal 3 this May.

The new lounge will be available to first class passengers and those travelling in the carrier’s A380 The Residence suites, as well as Etihad Guest Platinum members and top-tier cardholders of the carrier’s airline partners.

First class passengers travelling through the dedicated Etihad terminal currently have use of the carrier’s Premium lounge, which will continue to be used by business class guests once the new first class lounge opens.

Commenting on the forthcoming facility Etihad’s CCO Peter Baumgartner said that it would be “the jewel in the crown of our ever-growing global lounge portfolio, a showcase of intelligent design and innovation,‎ and the world’s best premium airport experience”.

The Gulf carrier recently opened a new business and first class lounge facility at New York JFK's Terminal 4 (see news December 3, 2015).
