United Airlines will serve Illy coffee to passengers on board and in its lounges worldwide from next month.
The carrier has teamed up with the Italian coffee maker to serve its scuro dark roast and espresso drinks on flights in United Club facilities in the US.
The service will then be rolled-out to lounges worldwide next year. Illy will be free on every flight and in lounges.
Jimmy Samartzis, United's vice president of food services and United Clubs, said: "By serving the world's most well-known premium coffee in our clubs and on board, we are communicating an experience to our customers and our employees with the quality and care that comes with every cup."
United has opened new lounges at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International and San Francisco International airports this month (see news, November 19).
