China Eastern resumes flights to Auckland

China Eastern relaunched its four-times-weekly service from Shanghai to Auckland, New Zealand on September 26.

The carrier originally launched the Shanghai-Auckland route last year on a seasonal basis, from December to March.

Following popular demand, the route has been resumed as a regular service. It will also be increased to a daily service starting from January 1, 2016.

The route is operated by a 234-seat A330-200ER, consisting of 30 business seats configured in 2-2-2 and 204 economy in a 2-4-2 setup.

The flight departs Shanghai Pudong Airport on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 0010 and arriving Auckland Airport at 1815 at local time. The return flight leaves New Zealand at 2200 and touching back to China at 0530 the following day.
