Members of Intercontinental Hotel Group's loyalty programme who sign up for an IHG Rewards Club visa card can earn triple the usual amount of bonus points with their first purchase.
IHG Rewards Club members who successfully apply for the credit card before March 31 will earn 30,000 bonus points - three times the usual amount - the first time they use the card, provided the purchase is made within 90 days.
The card has no annual fee and provides members with priority check-in, free internet access and 10 per cent bonus points on top of hotel stay base earnings. Cardholders receive two points for every pound spent at any IHG hotel and one point for every pound spent elsewhere.
In November, the hotel group launched an online IHG Rewards catalogue offering "thousands of retail redemption choices tailored to over 200 countries and 20 languages" (see news, November 25).
