Jetstar Asia launches loyalty programme in Singapore

28 May 2014 by Clement Huang

Jetstar Asia has launched a loyalty programme in Singapore.

Available for an annual fee of SG$39/US$31 (the first year is waived), Club Jetstar Singapore offers a number of special discounts and benefits.

Club Jetstar was first launched in May 2013 by Jetstar Airways, a low-cost carrier wholly owned by the Qantas group. The scheme has now been extended to its Asian offshoot, which is co-owned by Singapore company Westbrook Investments (51 per cent) and Qantas (49 per cent).

Club Jetstar members are offered discount fares via an exclusive email list, and they can log into their Jetstar Asia accounts to take advantage of these special offers. They also get the first picks of the airline’s “Take a Friend for Free” initiative, which features buy-one-get-one-free promotions valid for groups of two to eight passengers. These offers only apply to “Starter” fares which do not include checked baggage.

The newly enrolled will receive a SG$40/US$32 flight voucher, which can be redeemed for the next flight booking on Jetstar Asia. Other perks include discounts and special offers from a range of Jetstar Asia partners, including hotel booking site Agoda and insurance provider AIG.

Interested parties can register for the programme through the Jetstar Asia website. The membership can be cancelled at any time, otherwise it is automatically updated. But a reminder will be sent four weeks before it is renewed.
