Hyatt Hotels will open its first hotel in Austria in June.

Park Hyatt Vienna will be located in the city's Goldenes Quartier, on the Am Hof square, in a 100-year-old building that formerly served as the headquarters of the Austrian Hungarian Monarchy Bank.

It will feature 143 guestrooms, including 35 suites, ranging in size from 35 sqm to 170 sqm, and 800 sqm of meeting space.

The property will also include an all-day dining restaurant, a bar with outdoor terrace seating, a lounge and a whisky and cigar "living room". A 1,000 sqm spa area will house a 15-metre indor swimming pool and fitness centre.

Monique Dekker, general manager of Park Hyatt Vienna, said: "The Park Hyatt brand focuses on creating rare, intimate and unforgettable experiences for guests, so we are eager to open our doors and welcome guests to discover what Park Hyatt and Vienna are all about."

Last month, it was announced that Hyatt will open a Hyatt Place hotel near Heathrow Airport in spring 2015 (see news, January 30).
