Wyndham Hotel Group has announced the debut of its Tryp by Wyndham brand in the Middle East with a property in Dubai. The 672-room hotel is scheduled to open in late 2016 and will be the largest Tryp in the world. Tryp by Wyndham Dubai will be located in the Al Barsha South business district, within easy reach of Mall of the Emirates and The Palm Jumeirah. Facilities will include an "expansive" meeting space, spa, gym, all-day dining and specialty restaurants, coffee shop, lounge area and a bar. The announcement follows Wyndham's signing of a management agreement with Omega 1, a subsidiary of British-owned developer The First Group. Rui Barros, Wyndham's senior vice president and managing director for Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: "We are thrilled to deliver this hotel through a strong partnerships with the First Group, which share our ambition and passion for creating great guest experiences for business and leisure travellers around the world." Wyndham Hotel Group acquired the Tryp hotel brand from Sol Melia in June 2010.
