PAL to fly to Guangzhou

5 Jul 2013 by Clement Huang

Philippine Airlines (PAL) has announced that it will start flying to the city of Guangzhou from July 16, marking its sixth destination in China.

The Philippine flag carrier will have four weekly flights (PR382/PR383) to the southern Chinese hub. Other destinations in China served by PAL are Beijing, Xiamen, Shanghai, Macau and Hong Kong.

The launch of the new service comes in the wake of robust growth in arrivals to and from the city. Guangzhou is the third largest city in China after Beijing and Shanghai, and PAL is eager to have a footprint there.

“The launching of the Manila – Guangzhou – Manila route aims to further strengthen the strong ties between both cities. More importantly, this will allow business travellers and tourists the chance to spend time in the Philippines, and hop to any of our domestic or international destinations,” said PAL president Ramon S Ang.
