United unveils new uniforms

26 Jun 2013 by ScottCarey7

United Airlines has unveiled new uniforms that will be worn by flight attendants, customer service agents, technical operations and ramp workers today.

The garments feature accents of blue, gold, silver and grey. For flight attendants, the core wardrobe features black trousers, skirts, sweaters, vests and blazers. Two rows of silver braid dot the sleeves of the blazer.

Female flight attendants also have two styles of dresses, including the signature blue dress with a black stripe detail. Both male and female flight attendants receive a black all-season coat and optional grey double-breasted wool coat.

Customer service agents will sport black blazers, trousers, sweaters, vests and skirts.

Ramp, cargo and technical operations workers may wear work shirts, polo shirts and t-shirts made with breathable fabric. Brushed fabric was used for the trousers, shorts and coveralls. Outerwear options include a zip-up fleece-lined vest, jacket and waterproof outer shell. They also may wear waterproof wind trousers, hooded sweatshirts, baseball caps and knit caps.
