Adverse weather conditions are continuing to cause disruption to travel across the UK.
Heathrow airport has reduced today's flight schedule by 10 per cent, "in order to cope with the low visibility conditions expected from 1600 this afternoon", while the runway at East Midlands airport is currently closed, with an updated expected at 1200.
Gatwick airport is operating as normal, although it advises that "passengers can expect some delays to flights due to weather conditions across the UK and Europe".
Manchester airport suspended operations earlier this morning in order to clear Runway 1, but its Twitter feed advises it has now reopened.
At around 1000 Newcastle airport's Twitter feed advised that its "snow team is out on the runway for another clearing session", adding that "They'll be carrying out regular operations throughout the day", with further snow expected.
Several train operators have reported delays and cancellations this morning - services across Southern's network have been disrupted due to "the late finish of improvement works, which has delayed our lines being treated to remove the build up of ice", while Greater Anglia, South West Trains, Virgin and Southeastern are also reporting delays and cancellations.
