Hong Kong-based New World Hospitality has introduced an electronic signature service at the check-in desks of its New World Hotel properties in Manila and Dalian.
The system will make use of iPads that have instant access to guests' room reservations and registration. Billing statements and receipts can also be sent via email using this device, and hotel promotions are displayed on them for guests' convenience.
The group hopes that this paperless system will both help the environment and save guests time when checking in and leaving the hotel.
Paperless check in will follow at New World Hotels in Shanghai, Wuhan and Ho Chi Minh City, and Beijing and Guiyang opening in 2013.
The New World Hotel Dalian has also installed wifi throughout the hotel, and will be completely kitted out with LED lighting by mid 2013. To read more about the recent aesthetic makeover of this property, click here.
