United Airlines will place its Boeing Dreamliner into regularly-scheduled international service from today (Thursday January 3), when the aircraft flies between Los Angeles and Tokyo.
The B787 will replace the current B777 on United’s daily LA-Tokyo route, with the first flight UA32 departing LA at 1115 and arriving into Tokyo Narita at 1610 the following day.
United launched its Dreamliner on domestic services between Houston and Chicago in November, and is scheduled to operate the aircraft on flights from Houston to London Heathrow on a temporary basis from February 4.
Houston-Lagos and Denver-Tokyo are also among the already announced routes for the carrier’s B787.
