Royal Brunei Airlines revamps London and Melbourne schedules

14 Dec 2012 by BusinessTraveller

Royal Brunei has announced plans to change the timings of flights departing London and arriving into Melbourne next spring.

From March 31, 2013 the carrier’s daily service from London will move from a morning to an early evening (1750) departure, to “provide much better connections from UK domestic, Continental Europe and USA to the RB network”.

Flights into Melbourne will move to a 0500 arrival, which will “allow customers to transfer to Australian cities such as Sydney, Brisbane, and Adelaide, as well as to New Zealand on the same day”.

Departures from Brunei to London, and from Melbourne to Brunei will remain the unchanged, “in order to maintain existing connections to all parts of RB’s network”.

Melbourne is now the only Australian city served by Royal Brunei, since it dropped services to Auckland, Brisbane and Perth at the end of October (see online news June 21).

Last month the carrier unveiled a new simplified livery and logo, which will be rolled out across its fleet, uniforms and website over the next year (see online news October 31).
