Swissotel Hotels and Resorts announced it has signed management contracts for two hotels in India: one will be in the up and coming satellite town Gurgaon and the second in Bangalore. Both will open in 2013.
The 240-room Swissotel Gurgaon will be part of a mixed-use complex consisting of offices and retail spaces. It will be located on Golf Course Extension Road, which will soon get its own metro station, thus making it conveniently connected to the centre of New Delhi.
It will offer up to 2,400sqm of meeting space, a spa, gym and several F&B outlets, however specific details have not been disclosed.
The 150-room Swissotel Whitefield Bangalore, located in one of India’s largest technology hubs, will also be part of a larger mixed-use complex comprised of restaurants, a cinema and retail outlets. It will boast a rooftop pool and bar, al fresco dining options and meeting spaces, with more specifics to be confirmed at a later date.
These two properties will be the group’s second and third on the subcontinent, following closely behind the Swissotel Kolkata, which opened in October last year.
