Hilton Hotels and Resorts successively opened two properties in China, in Guangzhou and Xi’an, reflecting the group’s commitment to expanding its Mainland portfolio.
The 311-room Hilton Hotel in Xi’an, the group’s 10th in China under this brand, is located close to two city landmarks: the Ming City wall and the Bell Tower.
The hotel claims to have the largest rooms in the city, measuring from approximately 43sqm to the 248sqm Presidential suite. Its third floor features an open-air courtyard measuring 2,000sqm with a water centrepiece providing guests with a tranquil spot to unwind. Other amenities include an indoor pool, gym, spa and four F&B outlets.
For business purposes, the hotel offers 1,200sqm of ballroom that can accommodate up to 1,100 guests and five other meeting rooms.
The Hilton Guangzhou Tianhe, the first Hilton hotel in the city, is conveniently located close to the East Railway Station and Baiyun International Airport. This 504-room property consists of a total of 1,900sqm of meeting space, including a 600sqm ballroom.
The hotel also has the other standard amenities: six F&B outlets, spa, gym and an outdoor swimming pool.
These two properties are part of Hilton Worldwide's growth plans in the Asia-Pacific region, most of which are concentrated in China with almost 60 properties in the pipeline (see story here).
