New First seat on all BA flights to Hong Kong from year end

19 Mar 2011

British Airways hopes to feature it new first class product on both B747s serving the LHR-HK route from the end of the year.

The fitting of the new First seat on the B747 aircraft serving Hong Kong will coincide with the carrier’s 75th anniversary of flying between London and Hong Kong.

The new First class product, which was unveiled in February last year, has so far been fitted on 20 Boeing B747s and 11 B777s. It is currently featured on a selected basis on the daily London-Hong Kong route.

BA has also launched a competition for Hong Kong residents to celebrate the carrier’s milestone anniversary in the city. Participants are asked to answer the question:

‘Who do you want to sit next to on First class and why?’

The prize is two return First class tickets to London on April 27 in time for the Royal Wedding on April 29, returning back to Hong Kong on May 1. The prize also includes a three night’s stay in a Grand Junior Suite at the Langham Hotel, London.

The competition runs on a dedicated microsite until 2359 local time on April 8.
