Customers currently have the choice of two different promotions when applying for the Lloyds TSB Airmiles Duo Credit Card, both of which offer up to 1,500 bonus Airmiles.
The first offer, valid for applications up until December 31 made via the Airmiles website, sees new cardholders receiving a voucher for 1,500 miles when they spend £10 on the American Express card bafore February 28, 2011.
This promotion has been run before, and readers should note that the voucher is separate to any other Airmiles the cardholder may have collected, and must be exchanged for flights in one transaction. The cardholder must also book one night in an Airmiles-affiliated hotel when redeeming the miles.
The second offer, valid for applications made via the Lloyds TSB website before March 31, 2011, offers cardholders a three-month initial bonus of one Airmile for every pound spent on the American Express card, instead of the normal one mile per £10 spent.
The promotion is valid for expenditure up to £1,500, and so potentially offers the same number of bonus miles as the offer above, but the difference is that the bonus Airmiles are added to the cardholder’s account, and can be used in the normal way on flights, cabin upgrades, hotel accommodation or spa breaks.
The Lloyds TSB Airmiles Duo Credit Card gives cardholders the option of both American Express and Mastercard credit cards, offering (aside from the promotions above) one mile per £10 spent on the Amex card, and one mile per £50 spent on the Mastercard.
