AirAsia is running this week its much-awaited Free Seats promotion, offering 1 million seats at bargain fares to destinations, such as Thailand, Indonesia, Laos, Singapore, India, Vietnam, the Philippine, China and more. The promotion covers a number of routes in its network from the carrier's nine Asia hubs, such as Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Sabah, Bangkok, Phuket and Jakarta.
Available on a first-come, first-served basis, booking starts at 12am tomorrow until May 23 at www.airasia.com and mobile.airasia.com.
The seats are valid for travel between January 3 and May 8 next year.
For domestic flights from Kuala Lumpur, one-way all-in-fares start from RM6 (US$1.90) for destinations such as Johor Bahru, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Langkawi, Penang and others. Travellers will only have to pay the airport tax.
For overseas flights, all-in-fares start from RM25 (US$7.80) for regional destinations including Bangkok, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City and the newly launched India routes such as Bangalore and Hyderabad.
For long-haul flights operated by AirAsia X, promotional seats to Gold Coast and Perth in Australia start from RM149 (US$46.60), while Melbourne is from RM199 (US$62). All-in-fares to London start from RM699 (US$218).
