Fans of the Airbus A380 will be able to watch a live video of Lufthansa taking delivery of its first superjumbo, as the carrier is streaming the event on its website on Wednesday morning.
Lufthansa says live footage will be screened both on its dedicated A380 website at a380.lufthansa.com, and on its Facebook page at facebook.com/lufthansa, from 1000 on Wednesday May 19.
Those who miss the live footage will be able to watch or download a highlights package from the video gallery on the carrier’s website.
Exact details of the seating on board Lufthansa's A380s have not yet been released, but the carrier has published teaser images and videos on its website showing some of the seats being fitted to the aircraft.
Lufthansa is the fifth airline to add the A380 to its fleet, after SIA, Emirates, Qantas and Air France. The german carrier will launch the superjumbo on scheduled services to Tokyo on June 11, followed by Beijing on August 25 and Johannesburg on October 25.
