Nearly two years after a deadly terrorist attack, the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Mumbai will be re-opening on July 1, 2010 the Palace wing that sustained heavy damages from the incident.
The Palace wing will make most of its 287-room inventory available, and the rest will follow in September.
The Presidential Suite, also called the Tata Suite, will be ready in September.
Bookings are now accepted for the Grand Luxury Rooms (pictured above and below), Taj Club rooms and some of the theme suites.
Since landmark hotel partially opened a few weeks after the 2008 siege, it was the Tower wing that kept business going. The reopening of popular restaurants such as the Golden Dragon, Zodiac Grill and Wasabi also helped bring back the dining crowd.
Another casualty of the terrorist assault, The Oberoi restarted operations in April after a major facelift (see news) that saw all guestrooms given a fresh look and new restaurants introduced.
