Spanish hotel group Sol Melia has expanded its Germany-focused Innside brand with the opening of a new property in Dresden, and has also announced a forthcoming hotel in Frankfurt.

The 180-room Innside Dresden Hotel is the 21st property by the Sol Melia group in Germany, and the 10th to join the Innside portfolio in the country. The four-star hotel is housed within a renovated historic building featuring a baroque facade, with interiors including “numerous works of art and images of some of the most famous personalities in local history”.

Facilities include Twist Skybar on the sixth floor of the hotel, Ven restaurant, a relaxation and wellness area with solarium, steam bath, sauna and gym, and three meeting rooms.

Sol Melia has also announced it will open its third Innside property in Frankfurt in 2013, joining the existing Innside by Meliá Frankfurt Eurotheum and Innside by Meliá Frankfurt Niederrad hotels. The Innside

Frankfurt Hotel will feature 162 rooms, 350sqm of meeting space, a restaurant, café, gym, and spa facilities.

The Innside brand was acquired by the Sol Melia group in 2007, and is currently limited to destinations within Germany, although according to the Sol Melia website the brand has an “ambitious expansion plan focused on other European countries”.
