Low-cost carrier Ryanair says it will opens its 34th base at Leeds Bradford airport in March next year, with 14 new routes including Malta and Krakow.
The airline already serves Alicante, Girona and Dublin from the northern airport, and will add the following routes when it bases two aircraft there from March 2010:
Carcassonne, Faro, Ibiza, Knock, Krakow, Limoges, Malaga, Malta, Montpellier, Murcia, Nantes, Palma, Pisa and Venice Treviso
Ryanair says that the new routes will increase its traffic at the airport to one million passengers per year, with 63 weekly return flights. Tickets for the new routes are now on sale.
