Regional carrier Eastern Airways is to begin flights from Liverpool to Aberdeen and Southampton from this July.
The flights are Eastern’s first scheduled services from Liverpool’s John Lennon airport, and will start on July 6, with three daily weekday services to both cities. Flights to Aberdeen will depart Liverpool at 1040, 1630 and 1920, arriving at 1150, 1750 and 2040, with the return legs leaving Aberdeen at 0640, 1430 and 1820, landing in Liverpool at 0750, 1550 and 1940.
To Southampton, weekday flights will leave Liverpool at 0810, 1620 and 2010, landing in Southampton at 0900, 1720 and 2110. The return legs depart Southampton at 0930, 1500 and 1750, arriving in Liverpool at 1020, 1600 and 1850.
Liverpool airport is steadily expanding flight and ground services, with a new Servisair lounge opening last month (see online April 25), a Hampton by Hilton property attached to the terminal due to open later this year (see online news January 9), and KLM launching three-times daily flights to Amsterdam in March (see online news November 3, 2008).
