Hyatt has opened the first internationally-branded hotel in the Tajikistan capital of Dushanbe.
The 202-room Hyatt Regency Dushanbe is located in the city centre close to the embassies, government offices and ministries, and around 15 minutes from Dushanbe International airport.
The new-build hotel has a distinctive z-shaped exterior, and inside features include floor-to-ceiling windows in the guestrooms, and Regency Club facilities for guests staying in the hotel’s 42 suites
Foccacia Grill features an open kitchen serving mediterranean and international dishes, while Lounge and The Bar are both located on the lobby level. There is over 1,400sqm of meeting space including a 500sqm pillarless ballroom, and the hotel’s health facilities (due to open in April) include a spa, sauna, steam bath, cold plunge, spa bath, juice bar, gym, exercise studios and a heated indoor swimming pool.
Tajikistan is a land-locked country in Central Asia, bordered by Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and China, and is separated from Pakistan by The Wakhan Corridor. The country’s capital Dushanbe is located in the Hisor Valley in the west of Tajikistan. There are no direct flight from the UK, but two airlines (Tajikistan Airlines and Atlant Soyuz Airlines) fly a total of four daily flights from Moscow. Turkish Airlines also offers a twice-weekly service from Istanbul.
