New routes
- Zoom Airlines has started a twice-weekly service from London Gatwick to Fort Lauderdale, departing London on Thursdays and Sundays.
- Aegean Airlines has launched a twice-daily route between London Stansted and Athens, with flights departing London at 1020 and 2000.
- Easyjet has launched a daily service from London Gatwick to the western French city of Nantes.
- Aer Arann has commenced new routes between Cork and Brest, La Rochelle and Lorient.
- Lithuanian Airlines has started a twice-weekly service to Vilnius from Stansted, departing London on Friday and Sunday at 0815.

New hotels
- Rezidor has announced its first Ethiopian property. The Radisson Hotel Addis Ababa will feature 209 rooms and is due to open in late 2009.
- Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants is to open a 222-room hotel in Hell’s Kitchen, New York. The VU is slated to open in September 2008.
- Premier Inn is due to open a new property in Manchester in June, with hotels in Reading and Bournemouth following in July.
- Golden Tulip is to open a 200-room hotel in the Dutch town of Oegstgeest, with the Golden Tulip Corpus Oegstgeest slated for a 2009 opening.
- Starwood will welcome its latest Chinese property next month, when the Westin Beijing Chaoyang opens its doors.
