Air Mauritius has extended it lie-flat business class product to all flights to and from the UK.
The carrier plies the route with A340-300 aircraft, which will now be equipped with 34 angled lie-flat seats (1.9 metres in length and eight degrees from horizontal when reclined inflight), in a 2-2-2 configuration. The new business class means Air Mauritius will offer a two-class service on the route, as opposed to the previous three-class economy, premium economy and first class offering.
Other features include an AVOD entertainment system, with 50 video options and a playlist of 60 music albums, as well as in-seat power supply compatible with UK plugs.
The new two-class configuration is due to be rolled out across the entire Air Mauritius fleet by July 1 this year. The carrier flies from the UK five times per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday), with competition from BA (thrice-weekly) and Virgin (twice-weekly).
