LuganoPirateParticipantThey’ll also make a check to ensure the frame was not twisted. If it was, that’ll be expensive!

as long as it has a certificate – and its within “hours” – its good to go…
Anyone have any idea re the cost of a spare wing, new or used?
Sorry, missed this earlier
FYI (from G-INFO) – I believe BA has four 744s at Victorville.
G-BLNA – EASA ARC Expiry:29/06/2010 (ARC = cert of airworthiness)
G-BLND – EASA ARC Expiry:05/09/2010
G-BLNG – EASA ARC Expiry:22/11/2014 (would need a heavy maintenance check/ARC extension, I think)
G-BNLH – EASA ARC Expiry: 13/05/2010
So perhaps G-BNLG could be re-activated, but sounds potentially expensive to me, as a layman.

SergeantMajorParticipantIt’s a terrific result for Walsh and his team, and it’s good that is being properly acknowledged.

FormerlyDoSParticipantLet’s wait and see what happens over the next few years, as a great CEO delivers consistent results.
In the meantime, acknowledge Michael O’Leary and his team for the stellar performance of Ryanair over the last 25 years.
Now that is an example of a star Irish CEO delivering consistent profitability and growth.

Not exactly prime target for a knighthood, methinks.
This post is to assist any people who do not get esselle’s UK irony.

+1, but why not join in the fun. The manic IAG promotion is so easy to shoot down with facts.

“Not exactly prime target for a knighthood, methinks.”Methinks makes me wonder why Emirates president Tim Clark has been knighted in the New Year Honours list for “services to British prosperity……..”
I cannot see how the British economy has benefited (unless you refer to all those wings constructed for the dozens of A380s on order).Happy New Year to all.
