That must be worth a prize.

IB has been found to be more of a basket case than anyone believed possible and made worse by the situation of the Spanish economy. It is to be closed down with immediate effect and routes covered by SpanishBA with staff on terms and conditions that make mixed fleet look generous.

Emirates joining; BA to connect to Oz on Qantas code shares via DXB and drop the SIN – SYD add on?

(for the record, total wild speculation on my part, based on no fact whatsoever).

BA spins off Iberia to ensure its own survival during the impending euro meltdown.

BA cannot spin off Iberia, it doesn’t own it.

IAG sells off IB but then votes to continue its own role in managing BA to keep an extra few levels of senior managers in place on big salaries and bonuses in order to ensure that share holders continue to derive no benefit from their investment in the next twenty years.

Having re-read the thread title, carefully, it could be …

    B*llocks 😉

IAG Shares are among the top ten risers.

Reuters (2/10) are reporting an imminent statement about Qatar joining One World.

Reuters and FT are reporting an imminent statement about Qatar joining OneWorld.
QR is firmly denying such an annoucement
IAG are refusing to make any comment about it…

    Who is lying ?

What about waiting to see what will happen ?

Whatever is coming on the 8 th seems to be having apaitive impact on IAG share price. Today’s top mover on the FTSE.

Binman are you sceptic over whatever will be announced also do you think it will be good or bad for passengers?

This could just save Walsh’s bacon for a while. It could lead to the highly effective Al Baker getting increasingly, actively involved in IAG strategic direction and execution.

Maybe eventually move Walsh out to manage IB as a separate company, with Al Baker the rest – Shareholder heaven.

The fantasies of a pseudo-academic Communist!

Strange to see such very focussed anti-Walsh rants re-appearing. It’s almost like there’s an echo in this forum…!

I don’t think Al Baker running IAG would be good for staff especially BA they would find all their jobs would be offshored to Qatar almost instantly – union hell?

The fantasies of a pseudo-academic Communist!

And the forum’s resident hypocrite starts up again resorting to personal jibes. He whinges no end when others “attack” him (in response to his constant jibes) yet he is the biggest aggressor on the forum. Instigator and common demoninator in all unpleasantness yet again.

Learn to play the ball and avoid lowering standards as usual – sad.
