Jonathan we commute to another regional so return at that time requires overnighting. Used late night arrival at. Agp also Hertz Gold so no waiting then quick drive on Toll road towards Marbella last year but there was very palatable hot meal on board ! Nice Rioja in the apartment sleep no problem.

    Another issue T5 or T3 ( and buses ) departures ?

Will be good to see Oporto on the departures board once again, even though it appears it will only be twice weekly.

    Faro
    Oporto
    Mykonos
    Santorini
    Malaga

Not exactly the brave new world envisaged when acquiring the bmi slots, is it?

Travellator – I can see that we have the same mindset…shame about needing the night stop on the return…….Rioja always does the trick!!

These flights are from T3 in LHR according to ba.com

Probably do mix and match LGW and LHR for our approx 6 trips a year if Friday suits – shame cos LHR better for us – used to be 2 a day from there. Rioja tastes same regardless!

Have you tried LCY? Only 4 a week but the E190s are a lot more comfy than the old 737s in LGW or the cramped ex-BMI A319s (with three more rows than the normal BA fleet

LCY not possible from my location.

BA seems to have loaded the expensive flexible fares first, today should see the cheaper fare classes appearing.

Are there going to be separate desks for checking in buckets and spades?

You can check in 1 bucket and Spade ( must be no longer than 10cms ) on a Hand baggage only fare. Your swimsuit can go in the bucket !

LHR GIB is always a good alternative to AGP,

These are basically charters. Tour Operators guarantee a number of seats on each flight and a few seats are left for BA to sell on the open market…win-win for BA. That s why most of the fares are so high.

Most of the weekend flights to odd destinations this summer were “charters”.
