Heathrow T3 woes

    A quick calculation confirms that BA will have over half the slots on its own, plus IB and all the other one world carriers, so they need half of the terminals for themselves.

    This means 2 whole terminals out of the 4 that LHR has. T5 is obviously bigger than T1, but it is clear that one world will take over half the terminal space.

    EK and VS won’t be leaving T3 anytime soon, so airlines like SK and TK need to move to T1, so the BMI flights can move to T3.

    I always assumed that T4 was ultimately destined to be the Skyteam designated hub

    Look at the airlines that operate oput of there just now

    Makes more sense to move AC/SAS /SQ to terminal 1…though a need for a 380 gate might slow that migration

    As well as the demise of LHR’s 2nd carrier
