LuganoPirateParticipantIn LCY on Tuesday I heard a lady asking a colleague to get her an egg sandwich. I can think of nothing more disgusting. Sorry. Ugh!!!

scott66Participant:-D!!!
Now that is naughty. Lol !!
Wine and eggs are a difficult match, you’ll need a robust wine. A good Champagne can be an superb compliment to scrambled eggs preferably with salmon. Any one got time to try it in the lounge this morning?
You’re probably right about certain brands of that wine
Have a great day,

esselleParticipantJust looking at the link which Sgt. Krug sent with the comments that the beef carved by the seat was always a pleasure. The picture dates from 1960, which is 53 years ago. I had always imagined the poster to be somewhat younger than that, as even at 20 whilst eating the beef, he would now be in his 70’s.

millionsofmilesParticipantBA has served me one of the best meals I ever had on board of a plane, that was in F. (LHR-BKK dinner)
– Foie gras d’oie with brioche (with a Sauternes white)
– mushroom cream soup
– lobster curry with basmati rice (light Burgundy wine)
– cheese, dessert
– coffee and cognacIt was excellent. I even asked for a second foie gras – and got it.
Swissair and LH have very delicious meals in F, though in C and Y…worlds between. And LH still serves Caviar in F, always.
