GillyDeeParticipantFlying from LGW via St Lucia to Grenada first week of August. What is my chance of getting NF – I am taking a friend who and it is her first time in First cabin so I was hoping for the new product rather than the older tired version (you always remember your first time in First no matter how many times you travel First after that)

BGIWorldTravellerParticipantG-VIIU goes to Bermuda more than any other destination at the moment. I flew it on June 7th from Barbados and it flew there again yesterday.

BGIWorldTravellerParticipantIt’s a bit less than 1 in 3 I’d say. For example, the BA2159 LGW-UVF-POS route has First, but not everyday and G-VIIU has only gone there once this month so far. They get maybe 4 4-class and 3 3-class 777s each week on this route.
It’s been the BA2233 LGW-BDA 8 times already this month
It’s been the BA2155 LGW-BGI 4 times already this month
So I’d say the best chance of getting it is going to Bermuda, followed by Barbados.

AuldReekie39ParticipantHi CocktailLounge,
My wife and I are flying 777 to Orlando from Gatwick in April/May. Are you sure that all 777’s from LGW have first as I am in CW in row 3?

Markbetts123ParticipantHello
Im flying Ba first on the 12/01/2014 to grenada on flight Ba2159 out of Gatwick.
Does this route have the new first ?
Many thanks8 May 2013

VintageKrugParticipantTo clarify, not all 777s from Gatwick are fitted with a First canin (those without F are known as a “three class” 777, with Club World, WT+ and WT cabins only). These Three Class birds generally serve routes other than Barbados, Bermuda and (I think) St. Lucia.
Where the aircraft is fitted with F, and F is sold on the route your are flying, it will now be a new First cabin.

VintageKrugParticipantWe have just explained, at some length, that it will be New First.
No need to “hope” at all.
