Sailing through the South Pole

Gerlache Strait: Without light, there is no photography. So, what happens when there is constant light and perfect shooting conditions? Our faces were stuck to our cameras for 18-20 hours non-stop for days on end.

Although there was no sign of humanity as far as the eye could see, every now and then, we would come across a reminder of explorers who had braved it till here — boat.

Nature was almost teasing us with its magic. Each time we were ready to pack up our cameras, the sky changed colour and we would start shooting again!

Gerlache Strait: This was the Antarctica I had been dreaming about, and it was more incredible that my imagination. For the longest time, all you could hear was the whoosh sounds of the whales

Left: A whole new perspective after climbing the mast of the yacht!

Right: Chilling on a block of ice, blobbing around trying to deal with an itch and watching the sun paint the sky against some magnificent glaciers!
