The Mumbai-based travel company, The Q Experiences is launching a bespoke trip to the Arctic. As a part of this 8-day cruise expedition, travellers can explore the far north and the vast open spaces of the Polar Arctic.
The experience begins on June 16, 2019. Guests will board the ship at Longyearbyen in Norway to the heart of Spitsbergen, the largest island in the Svalbard archipelago. Walking on Polar bear trails, Reindeer safari, witnessing large colonies of Puffins are some of the highlights of this trip.
Hiking, sailing in Spitsbergen’s fjords and towards the ice floe, exploring icebergs, steep-sided valleys, sheer cliffs, glaciers are some other features of this trip. Wildlife enthusiasts will be able to spot Arctic foxes, Svalbard reindeer, Arctic terns, walruses, and whales during this trip.
Guests onboard can choose from two dining options — a sophisticated restaurant on Deck 2, or the casual poolside restaurant on Deck 6 serving inspired cuisine and themed buffets. The Indian cuisine will be curated by Michelin star Chef Atul Kochhar.
