American Express has launched a new Amex Stays promotion, offering cardholders £75 back in statement credit when they spend £300 or more in one transaction at selected hotels in the UK.
Cardholders must save the offer to their card via the Amex app or online at americanexpress.com to take advantage of the deal.
Participating hotel brands include Cheval, Guoman, Hotel Du Vin, Malmaison and Thistle, as well as standalone properties such as Broadwick Soho, Hotel Café Royal, Ham Yard Hotel, Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel, One Aldwych, One Hundred Shoreditch, The Mayfair Hotel and Sea Containers London.
As you would expect London is particularly well represented in this offer, with nearly 40 properties to choose from – but Hotel Du Vin and Malmaison have plenty of regional options.

Cardholders must book and pay by 1 June (with the spend having been billed to their card account by this date), so if you are looking to stay at one of the participating properties after this date you must choose a pre-paid rate rather than one where it is billed on arrival.
Also note that payments must be made online directly on the relevant hotel website or in person at participating locations.
Cardholders can take advantage of the offer up to 19 times – once for each brand (with standalone properties in the list above effectively counting as a brand).
Amex said that “a statement credit should appear on a customer’s Card Account statement within 30 days from the date they made an eligible transaction, but may take up to 90 days from the Offer End Date”.
Meanwhile the Amex promotion of increased dining cashback for holders of its Gold credit card continues for another month.
The normal 10 per cent cashback at participating dining venues has been increased to 20 per cent until 19 May.
The offer is valid at more than 1,000 locations across the UK, with no limit to the amount of cashback that can be earned per visit, and no cap on the number of times cardholders can use the offer overall or per restaurant.
