American Express has rebranded its International Airport lounges at Melbourne and Sydney airports under the Centurion portfolio.
The switch is part of a wider move to bring all of the firm’s lounges under the Centurion brand, which now consists of over 40 locations worldwide.
The Melbourne and Sydney facilities were closed for several weeks to allow for “rebranding touches”, including new Blak Douglas artwork in the Sydney lounge.
The Sky’s the Spirit combines Aboriginal and Western art techniques, and has been digital printed as a wall wrap along the entrance hallway to the lounge.

Both lounges are also partnering with Australian chef Khanh Ong to introduce new Asian-inspired menus from early 2023.
Ahead of this Khanh has created a signature cocktail for the lounges – the Quandong Gin and Tonic – which celebrates the native red quandong fruit.
The reflagged Australian lounges follow the debut of the Centurion brand in the UK last year, with the opening of a lounge at Heathrow Terminal 3.
Amex has been growing the Centurion brand in recent years, with lounges opening at New York JFK, Los Angeles International, Charlotte Douglas International and Phoenix Sky Harbor airports since 2020.
