Finnair plans to add more flights to Japan in next year’s summer schedule starting in late March 2025.

The oneworld carrier says it will go double daily to Tokyo – once a day to Haneda airport and once a day to Narita airport.

Also in Japan, Finnair will increase its Helsinki to Nagoya service to three weekly flights next summer.

The airline is bringing back flights to Nagoya this summer, with two weekly frequencies from 30 May 2024 on its Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

The Nagoya resumption will complement Finnair’s flights to Osaka, Haneda and Narita. Pre-pandemic, the airline also served Fukuoka and had mounted seasonal flights to Sapporo.

Separately, Finnair recently also announced a new service to Kirkenes in Northern Norway.

Launching in the summer of 2025, the route to Kirkenes will be operated with a 68-seater ATR aircraft and will operate from Helsinki via Ivalo three times a week.

The new route is expected to cater to Finnish and international travellers who want to explore both Finnish Lapland and Northern Norway, and experience, for example, the famous Hurtigruten cruise that starts from Kirkenes.

In the Baltic region, Finnair will add frequencies to Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius for the summer of 2025. Tallinn and Riga will see five additional weekly frequencies, while Vilnius will get two additional weekly flights.

Moreover, Finnair has now confirmed that Dallas will become a year-round daily service.
