Global Airlines is partnering with Blacklane to offer complimentary airport transfers to first and business class passengers, once the carrier launches its commercial flights.

Passengers in premium cabins will be offered chauffeur services to and from the airport, though note that this partnership is in place for the airline’s initial routes and may not be a longstanding arrangement.

Passengers travelling in economy (known as Global Traveller) will be offered discounts and special offers with Blacklane, instead.

Global Airlines is currently working with Airbus to confirm the arrangements and approvals to fly its acquired A380 aircraft to a European facility in the coming weeks. The A380 aircraft (9H-GLOBL) will then undergo refurbishment and overhaul work before entering service in the coming months.

The paper airline has also agreed to purchase an additional three A380 aircraft for transatlantic services.

James Asquith, CEO and founder of Global Airlines, said:

“Blacklane will offer the perfect stress-free start to a journey with Global and I am hopeful that to-and-from airport transfers, along with some other exciting announcements we have coming up, will persuade even more passengers to fly with Global Airlines.”

Blacklane is operational in over 50 countries and offers a range of premium electric vehicles, with ambitious targets to make 50 per cent of its fleet EV by 2025.

Dr. Sascha Meskendahl, chief revenue officer of Blacklane, added:

“This partnership is a logical next step for our business as an increasing number of travellers are using our limousines to and from the airport, especially as the business travel market booms. We can’t wait to offer our smart, easy, and reliable chauffeur service to First and Business passengers flying Global.”

Last year Global Airlines hosted an event to announce its forthcoming partnership with American Express, and also revealed its upcoming amenity kits and onboard F&B products.
