Alaska Airlines has launched a new monthly subscription service which it says will offer customers exclusive savings.

Alaska Access costs $5 per month, for which customers will get a monthly one-time use voucher code for inflight wifi, worth $8.

They will also get access to sale fares “the night before the rest of the world finds out (with the ability to book at sale prices immediately)”.

Finally Alaska Access customers will have the ability to personalise their own “fare page”, allowing them to view “some of our lowest fares by money and miles to more than 500 global destinations”.

Alaska Airlines joined the oneworld alliance in 2021, and last year announced a $2.5 billion investment to improve the lobby experience for customers at its hub and focus airports including Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Anchorage.

Alaska Airlines wants to get customers from airport lobby to security in five minutes or less

Commenting on the news Shane Jones, vice president of business development at Alaska Airlines, said:

“We know time is valuable for our guests who are busy balancing a lot in their lives and we kept that in mind when we developed Alaska Access.

“Alaska Access is part of our commitment to make travel more affordable and convenient for everyone – whether planning for your dream vacation or returning home from college.

“Our new subscription service allows you to discover some of our best deals of the year right at your fingertips, in just minutes.”
