The Chelsea Townhouse has joined the luxury hotel and restaurant collection Relais and Châteaux as its second London member.

The boutique 36-room property opened in September 2023 following an extensive transformation of the former Draycott Hotel, and is a sister property to existing Relais & Châteaux member, 11 Cadogan Gardens.

The property is located across three Victorian red-brick townhouses and also forms part of the Iconic Luxury Hotels collection. For more information, see:

Andrew Stembridge, executive director of Iconic Luxury Hotels, commented:

Relais and Châteaux was established in France in 1954, and now counts over 580 hotel and restaurant members across over 60 countries.

Relais & Châteaux is set to celebrate its 70th anniversary in May. Earlier this month we visited its first UK member – Chewton Glen in the New Forest – and will be publishing an interview with Relais & Châteaux’s president, Laurent Gardinier, in an upcoming issue of the magazine.

Gardinier also commented on the new addition:
