Red Sea Global, the multi-project developer behind some of the world’s most ambitious tourism destinations, has announced a partnership with Amazon Payment Services, a leader in digital payments across the MENA region to enhance the online payment experience for both local and international travellers in Saudi Arabia.

Known for its seamless and secure online payments, Amazon Payment Services’ core payment processing services will be used to enable travellers to Red Sea Global’s luxury destinations to book and pay for their holidays online. Amazon Payment Services is the system behind payments on Amazon stores in the MENA region, including Amazon.ae, Amazon.sa, and Amazon.eg, as well as other businesses across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain. This collaboration will help support Saudi Arabia’s ambition of improving its digital economy and becoming a cashless society, with hopes to create more initiatives like it down the line.

Commenting on the partnership, the executive director of information technology at Red Sea Global, Dr. Ahmed Al Suhaili, said: “Red Sea Global is thrilled to partner with Amazon Payment Services on a journey that will be transformational for us, and our customers. Our vision has always been to offer exceptional experiences to our travelers, and this tie-up takes us a step closer to achieving that goal. By collaborating with Amazon Payment Services, we ensure convenient, secure and efficient payment processes for our guests and help enhance the luxury tourism landscape in Saudi Arabia. Our guest journey must match the grandeur of our destinations and Amazon Payment Services promises a best-in-class payment experience for our visitors.”

Our payment methods fully and seamlessly integrate with Red Sea Global’s infrastructure, making their offering even more accessible, reliable, and easy-to-use.”

Red Sea Global’s three ground breaking developments, The Red Sea, Amaala, and Thuwal, are already underway and will span more than 32,000 square kilometres with 79 hotels. The first guests to the giga-project were already welcomed recently in a major opening at the Six Senses Southern Dunes, while Saudia, the national carrier of Saudi Arabia, became the first airline to operate to and from Red Sea International Airport last year with its maiden flight in September.
