Hilton has announced a new partnership with outdoor hospitality company AutoCamp.

The move will allow customers to book AutoCamp stays via Hilton’s channels, as well as enabling Hilton Honors members to earn and redeem points on their stays.

AutoCamp offers a range of cabins, Airstreams and luxury tents in locations including Yosemite, Joshua Tree, Cape Cod and Sequoia across the US.

AutoCamp facilities include The Clubhouse social hub, communal fire pits, group meeting spaces and swimming pools (at select locations).

Hilton said that its recent Trends Report highlighted that “nearly half of travellers will prioritize exploration and adventure, with more than half of Gen Z and Millennials carving out more budget for these types of experiences, exceeding other generations”.

No information has been given at this stage as to when booking will become available via Hilton, or what earning and redemption rates will be offered. Hilton said that “More details of the AutoCamp partnership will be announced soon”.

The agreement follows Hilton’s recent partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World, which will see selected properties become available to book through Hilton’s channels, as well as offering Hilton Honors members new earning and redemption opportunities.

Commenting on the news Chris Silcock, president, global brands and commercial services, Hilton, said:

“We know today’s travellers are craving adventures when planning their next trip, and that’s why we look for innovative and like-minded partners like AutoCamp.

“This is the first time a major hospitality brand and outdoor lodging company have come together in this way to create even more choices for travellers while redefining the outdoor hospitality experience.”
