Guernsey’s flag carrier is launching services to and from London City airport (LCY) next month.

Aurigny will commence its Guernsey-London City route on 31 March, with twice-daily return flights from Sunday-Thursday and three rotations on Friday. There will be no flights on Saturdays.

The flight duration is listed as 1 hour and 20 minutes, with one-way fares starting from £49.99.

Aurigny’s interline agreement with British Airways’ CityFlyer means that passengers will be able to connect at LCY to destinations on BA’s network such as Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin and Zurich.

Andrew Hodges, chief commercial officer at London City airport, said:

“We’re thrilled to welcome Aurigny as the first new airline at London City Airport this year – demonstrating our commitment to growing as a business and offering new destinations to our passengers.”

Nico Bezuidenhout, CEO at Aurigny, added:

“Guernsey is a tourist destination and an International Finance Centre. Many businesses on our beautiful island work closely with colleagues and clients in London and direct flights to London’s beating heart will also benefit anyone who wishes to explore the city’s many attractions.”
