Air Canada has announced an expansion of services between Canada and Scandinavia next year.
The carrier will launch two seasonal routes to Stockholm in June 2024, with three weekly flights from Montreal and a twice-weekly service from Toronto. Both routes will be served by three-class Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
Flights will depart Montreal on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday at 1800, arriving into Stockholm at 0705 the following day, with the return leg leaving the Swedish capital on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 1215, landing back into Montreal at 1405.
Meanwhile the Toronto service will depart the Canadian city on Wednesday and Saturday at 2030, arriving into Stockholm at 1005 the following day, with the return leg leaving on Thursday and Sunday at 1215, landing back into Toronto at 1435.
There are currently no other airlines flying between Montreal and Stockholm, while the Toronto-Stockholm route is also served by SAS.
In addition Air Canada will increase its year-round Toronto-Copenhagen route to daily between 1 May and 31 October next year, and will also bring forward the resumption of its seasonal Montreal-Copenhagen service to 2 May.
This week the airline launched an exclusive IFE partnership with Disney+, enabling passengers to watch episodes series including Star Wars spin-off Obi-Wan Kenobi and season 1 of Marvels Studios’ Loki on all IFE-enabled aircraft.

“Toronto and Montreal have been strategically developed to facilitate convenient connections throughout Air Canada’s extensive North American network and, with non-stop Dreamliner flights to Stockholm, we offer customers choice and ease while travelling between North America and Sweden’s capital city for business development, tourism, or visiting friends and family.
“Together with our added capacity to Copenhagen, we will operate up to 17 weekly flights this summer from Toronto and Montreal to Stockholm and Copenhagen. We look forward to welcoming customers onboard our flights.”
