Air Canada has become the first airline in the world to offer Disney+ Originals content via its inflight entertainment system.

Passengers can now watch episodes of Star Wars spin-off Obi-Wan Kenobi and season 1 of Marvels Studios’ Loki on all IFE-enabled aircraft.

Other Disney+ Originals content available to Air Canada customers includes series Limitless with Chris Hemsworth, Cars on the Road and Zootopia+, as well as movies including Disenchanted and Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers.

The move follows recent collaborations between the Canadaian flag carrier and Disney, including a Walt Disney World Resort in Florida themed in-flight safety video, a themed children’s room at Toronto Pearson’s Transborder Maple Leaf Lounge, and a special Turning Red aircraft livery.

In 2019 Air Canada upgraded its IFE system, increasing available content by 50 per cent on selected aircraft, and more recently the carrier added the Apple TV+ streaming service to its IFE offering, with passengers able to access series including The Morning Show, Ted Lasso, Bad Sisters and Severance.
