Etihad Airways has officially unveiled its business and first class lounges within the new Terminal A at Abu Dhabi International airport.
The terminal opened its doors at the start of this month, with Etihad transitioning over to the facility between 9 and 14 November.
The carrier’s new lounges span three floors on the north side of the terminal between Piers C and D, with direct lounge boarding for selected flights through three gates.
The business class lounge features all-day dining restaurant Liwan Global Dining with live cooking stations, Emirati and Middle Eastern cuisines, “alongside international favourites inspired by the destinations Etihad flies to”. There are also several snack and drinks stations across the lounge.
Other facilities include the East and West Study with views of the runway, Relaxation Rooms with day beds and Armani Casa furnishings, a Games Room with football, air hockey and digital gaming options, and a smoking lounge with Chesterfield sofas.
Meanwhile the first class lounge offers à la carte dining and a “fine and boutique wine selection”, as well as The Parlour for pastries, desserts and a signature tea experience. There are also complimentary Private Suites for those flying in The Residence, which can also be booked by other first class guests.
The top floor of the complex houses the Roof Lounge, featuring a Constellation Bar with a 25-metre-long glass lighting sculpture depicting the Abu Dhabi city skyline. Business class guests can dine here “at select periods”, while first class guests benefit from a private lift to the space.
The lounges are open to guests flying in Etihad’s The Residence, first and business class customers, and Etihad Guest members with eligible tier status. Economy passengers can also purchase access to the business class lounge subject to availability.
