TUS Airways, the largest airline in Cyprus, operated its first flight to Dubai from Larnaca on October 1, 2023.
The inaugural service, Tus Airways flight U8 684, was operated using an Airbus A320 aircraft.
The new service between Larnaca and Dubai also represents TUS Airways’ first scheduled service to the Middle East.
The carrier will operate flights between Larnaca and DXB’s Terminal 1 twice per week, on Thursdays and Sundays. On average, one-way fares start at Dhs530, including taxes.

Dubai International raises 2023 forecast to 85 million passengers
Majed Al Joker, chief operations officer of Dubai Airports, added, “We are delighted to welcome TUS Airways, Cyprus’ largest airline, to the growing list of airlines operating flights to and from Dubai International. As the world’s busiest international airport, we will continue to expand our network and provide seamless connectivity.”
In August, DXB once again upwardly revised its 2023 forecast of passenger traffic from 83.6 million to 85 million. That number would therefore be 1.6 per cent shy of DXB’s annual traffic in 2019.
It welcomed 41.6 million guests in H1 2023, 49.1 per cent more compared to the 27.9 million guests it hosted in the corresponding period last year.
DXB handled a total of 201,800 flights in the first half of this year, up 30.2 per cent over H1 2022.
