Premier Inn has reached the milestone of 50 hotels in Germany, with the opening of the group’s second hotel in Dresden.
The 200-room Premier Inn Dresden City Prager Strasse is part of a mixed use development, and features a fifth floor lobby, bar and reception.
It joins the existing Premier Inn Dresden City Centre, which is located around 400 metres north of the new hotel.
Premier Inn opened its first German property in Frankfurt in 2016, followed by a second in Hamburg in 2019.
Since then the brand has experienced steady growth in the country, reaching 30 hotels in 2021 thanks in part to the addition of 13 properties from the Centro Hotel Group.
Commenting on the news Mark Anderson, managing director of Premier Inn Germany and International, said:
“It is very exciting to have reached such a significant milestone in our expansion in Germany. Opening our 50th German hotel in Dresden, such a fantastic location, just underpins our goal of becoming the market-leading hotel brand in Germany.
“Since opening our first hotel in Frankfurt in 2016, we have now grown our network of hotels and can be found in 25 great cities across the country, meaning even more places to rest easy in addition to our 850+ hotels in the UK and Ireland.”
